(2609) Raw, jacking and energetic, the five warehouse-ready jams on show sound like they could have been made at the dawn of TB-303 powered acid house (as in the sound, rather than the UK movement) in the mid 1980s. Particularly potent are opener ‘Acid Hang Ups’, a minimalistic but energetic affair driven forwards by twisted acid lines, the deep acid-jack of ‘Acid Trial’, and Giveus Monet’s tracky, drum machine-driven rework of ‘ACID’.
